I have an african cichlid its mouth is full of little black dotted looking things, i am wondering if this is where the eggs will come out from.Would this be a mouthbrooder? Also will they be livebearers? will they hatch in the mouth? What is the brooding period? It stays next to the heater and would this help the process of laying the eggs? How long would it take for them to hatch? My fish hasnt ate in about a week but its mouth is swelled up and its gills are red. Stuff is coming out of its mouth but the fish keeps sucking it back in its mouth. Im sorry for the stupid questions but i am totally stunned.
