Breeding Cichlids
My cichlids have spawned im my community aquarium. Should i move the fry to keep them safe?
It is a good idea to move some of the fry but you should never take all the fry from the parents. Removing all fry from the parents can make the male willing to spawn again before the female is in breeding condition. The male can then become very aggressive towards the female and sometimes even kill her. It is therefore best to always leave a number of fry with the breeding pair.
